She taught 20 years at Roosevelt and Longfellow School which her children attended.  She was a member of the Retired Teachers Club, Portland College Club and Cooking for Fun.  In Florida she was active in the Sun City Center Women’s Club and a member of the Sun City Center Branch of the American Associate of University Women. She was also active in Chapter 28 of AARP.
